My younger brother is just about to kiss his youth goodbye and say hello to legal beers. I’m really bummed I won’t be able to make it up to where he lives to take him out for his 21st but did do him a little bit of justice by sending a card with cash to take to a couple of different breweries I’ve suggested. He isn’t much of a drinker, not at all actually but he does appreciate a well brewed IPA or lager. Living near a few small breweries, I hope he takes the cash along with a few friends to celebrate his transition into being a grown man. People think you are an adult after turning 18. In the eyes of the law, this is true but I was so immature at 18. Man I learned quick where that will get you.
Turning 21 deserves party decorations and big old birthday themes. I may not get up there for his actual birth date but in the next few months I’m taking him out minus the party decorations or free desert many restaurants hand out for a birthday boy.
