birthday party favors, party decorationsNot since I was running around in the backyard after smashing a pirate ship shaped piñata into a million pieces, do I remember coming away from a birthday with birthday party favors. You know those little plastic bags moms put together filled with chocolate gold coins, tops, bouncy balls, gum or whatever they could find at an online party decorations store for cheap.

Birthday party favors, at least in my experience, have been reserved for young kids. I don’t see any reason why they can’t come back for all of my friends or my own birthday in 2010. Not being a kid anymore, a bouncy ball may not be as exciting but I can think of plenty of little trinkets which would bring a childish grin back on my face like mini bottles of liquor, gum, candy or hell, even a bouncy ball. Those are always fun to throw against the wall for a couple minutes. I think it is time to bring back birthday party favors in the lives of all adults. We all loved them growing up so why not bring them back to life later in life.
