birthday idea, party decoration

For weeks I've been trying to come up with birthday ideas for my daughter’s upcoming 10th birthday. We generally don't have huge parties, but I liked to have party decorations that match the theme. She made the comment several months ago that her 10th birthday was going to be a special one, and wondered if she could have a larger, more special party. My daughter is what you would consider the model child. I don't say that because she's my child, but because it's true. She doesn't ask for much, so when she asked for this party, I knew that it was something special to her. Because it is obviously so special to her, I want to have birthday ideas that will be something she'll not only love, but also never forget.

It took me a while to come up with birthday ideas that wasn't too babyish. My sister suggested we do a princess party, and I thought that it would be great if she was 6, but she is at that age when she wants to be more grown, so I knew that the birthday ideas had to be something that were a little more mature. I finally got the idea for a glamor party when I was looking at party decorations and saw a few things that gave me the perfect idea. I happen to be a photographer, so I can take photos of the girls, and I’ll buy some party decorations that will include little glamor things that they can wear, and makeup, so they can dress up and then I can take glamor shots of them. When I told my daughter, she thought it was the coolest of all the birthday ideas that I'd come up with, so it looks like that's going to be the theme of the party.
