I have a few months to figure out a birthday theme and buy all of the party decorations, birthday party favors, and birthday party supplies for her. I always think ahead so that I have time to find everything I need and get it here on time. I don't go overboard on my kids' parties, but I do like to have a birthday theme and some matching supplies. I make the cakes myself, and decorate them in the theme that I have chosen. Then I like to have plates, cups and napkins to match along with maybe a banner, tablecloth and some favors. Then the kids just play and enjoy their friends, eating the cake and some ice cream. They love their birthday parties, and look forward to them every year. My daughter is a pre-teen now, so no more little-kid birthday themes for her. I might do a High School Musical theme, or Jonas Brothers. She loves both of them, so I can't go wrong. I'm shopping online looking for the best supplies I can find.
