My sister Alex technically is a year older on the 8th of February each year. However she told me that since so many people will be getting married in our family this year, and there are so many couples now, that next year her birthday idea is to actually have a birthday party a week later, on Valentine’s Day—a birthday idea where we all go out to eat together, and then do a party for her back over at her house. I thought this was the most unusual birthday idea that I had ever heard before I gave this birthday idea some serious thought. After thinking about it though, I arrived at the conclusion that it was a really great birthday idea because it would bring the whole family together, allowing couples to celebrate their love, while at the same time allowing us to party together with my sister afterwards at a lover’s party for all. Indeed, while odd, I am eager to see how this unique birthday idea of my sister’s plays out next year!
