When my kids were little, I loved to think up birthday theme ideas for their various parties. It was fun to buy the themed birthday party supplies and birthday party favors and set-up the kitchen table with all decorations. I usually had the balloons, banners, paper products and other themed table toppers. I think I had the common birthday idea parties for little boys, like pirates, dinosaurs, superheroes and vehicle themes. I would plan adventurous games for the boys before eating and birthday cake. Afterwards, the kids always wanted to play with the new birthday toys. Before everyone left, the kids all got goodie bags, filled with birthday party favors and treats. The birthday parties were always a fun and exhausting afternoon. On most birthdays, my kids were so excited about seeing their friends and new toys that it was really tough to get them settled down and relax a bit. I needed them to relax so I could too! Even though planning any age birthday parties are fun, I enjoyed the younger ages the most.
