My daughter will be turning 40-years-old this year, and we really wanted to do something exciting and special for her.  Finding the "right" birthday them was left up to me; so, I started thinking of what Roxie really likes.  Hum...she loves to party, and she loves to eat Mexican food...and she really loves a good margareta.  Actually, this was a no-braider, and it came to me!  Wow, a Cinco De Mayo birthday party would fit her perfectly! 

I have had good luck when I look and buy from ecommerce stores.  Most of these internet shops have excellent quality merchandise, and there is a quick turn-around time.  So, I started looking online and was excited to find Shop On Mine located at http://www.shoponmine.com.  This specialty shop carries a great variety of birthday party favors that accommodates each birthday theme.  The birthday party supplies are priced in a comfortable range, and there are additional birthday party favors to make any birthday idea a hit! 

To ensure this was going to be the birthday party to end all birthday parties, I ordered maracas, sombreros, bandannas, fiesta necklaces, and even a red hot salsa cd.  Their selection of birthday party supplies was endless, and to ensure the birthday was celebrated as well as Cinco De Mayo, I ordered a custom fiesta banner with "Happy Birthday Roxie" on it.  The paper goods, invitations and gift bags were at an affordable price, and I knew this was going to be one successful birthday party and birthday theme!

We decided to host the party at my house in the basement.  This location made decorating, noise control, birthday party favors, food and of course, margaritos a part of the party that would be without problems.  Roxie was clueless as to what we were up to, and her husband really did his part about keeping a secret.  We invited her best friends, close relatives and some co-workers.  The numbers were controllable.  I ordered several platters from her favorite Mexican restaurant, and the other goodies were handled by her sister and best friend.

I work with a gentleman who plays the Spanish guitar and sings.  I asked Danny if he would join us and play.  He agreed.  This is getting better and better.  I am trying to decide how to work what Roxie wears into this scenario; but, so far, I can only do some suggestions.  However, I thought I would get her a bright, festive outfit, and see if I can talk her into wearing it that evening.  So far, she thinks she is coming to my house for dinner to celebrate her birthday.  I love it!!!
