Having no idea what I was getting into, it was a good sign when we were walking up to the party and there was a big group of people outside right between the front door and street. It was an open faced 8 unit apartment complex you see in the city. The front door opened up right to the street. In front of the steps up to the front door there was a 15 foot deep stretch of pavement for the residents to park their cars. The coolest part was they had moved all their living room furniture outside in the parking space to open up their actual living room as a dance floor. As far as birthday ideas go, I have never seen something like this.

There was everything from sofas, coffee tables, plugged in lamps and rugs right there in the parking lot where the majority of people were hanging out. Party decorations and birthday party favors like streamers and balloons were inside and they had set up a little bar in the kitchen with someone pouring random drinks. Outdoor living room birthday themes make for a great party. Luckily the other residents of the small complex had no problem with the party so all the noise outside didn’t end in cops shutting it down.
