Birthday Party Decorations Hint at Big Gift |

Last night we went to the neighbors' home for a birthday party for their daughter, and since it was her sixteenth, they used party decorations like this to celebrate the fact that she can now get her driver's license. She has been taking driving lessons for a few months and is anxiously awaiting passing the test so she can be independent of her parents taking her around. Other party decorations included toy cars, auto-related napkins, and bowls filled with candy shaped as cars.
We had a blast at the party and there was something for everyone. We even got to take home some of the party decorations, too. We took home this traffic light. It's a LED 8" Traffic Light and it uses 3 AAA batteries so we'll be able to use it as long as the bulbs last. I thought it was really cute. It'll make a nice night light for the hall bath to use when we have overnight guests who may need the bathroom in the middle of the night. The switch in the back is variable and it can be set to flash each light separately or set to run just one of the lights at a time.
We're planning a New Year's Eve party and were thinking about how to use party decorations for our event. I asked the hostess of yesterday's party where she got her decorations and she told me about Shop On Mine located at http://www.shoponmine.com, and I checked it out and it's got all sorts of party decorations to choose from for virtually any party or celebration. The prices are excellent, too. I emailed my cousin the link to the site, too, because she entertains all year long and is always looking for a bargain. When I find sites that sell things for parties that are inexpensive, I always share the information with others who I know are looking for good buys on unique party decorations.
I think the birthday girl last night was hoping for a car of her own, since the party decorations were all themed to cars, but alas, there wasn't a car in the driveway for her. Her folks want her to get a job first so she can carry the cost of her car payment, insurance and gas herself. She wasn't too disappointed, however, when she opened the card her parents got her and saw a check for the down payment for a car inside. Now all that's between her and her own car are the license and the part time job, so the party decorations were actually pretty appropriate for the occasion. |
