party decorations, birthday ideas In my freshman year of college, I remember going to a house party themed with the idea of living in a backwards world. Everything you thought to be normal was flipped around. It came from the bizaro world Seinfeld episode when Elaine starts hanging out with three guys that look like Jerry, Kramer and George but do everything opposite from how the real group of friends do it. Backwards world Kramer had a steady job and plans for the future. There weren’t really any party decorations but everyone dressed up as the polar opposites of themselves. The sports jocks dressed up in loose baggie Hippie clothing. The girl hippies dressed up as Sorority party girls. The stoners dressed up as cops. The nerds dressed up as athletes and so on.

Walking into the packed house was such a kick because all of these people seen around campus were exactly the opposite of their normal day to day shelves. I think this would work well for birthday themes. The only difference would be some party decorations for the b-day guy/girl and a few minutes taken out to bring out a cake. It also brought people together who normally didn’t hang out because everyone was pretending to be someone else. I’m sure there were some new friends made that normally wouldn’t ever talk to each other. Good times.
